| Opmerking: Hi. I live in Freeport and have stayed at Viva Wyndham even. One of the things that seem popular from there is riding bikes (not sure if they are free or not) from the resort, into Port Lucaya. I guesstimate it will take about 20-30 mins one way. It’s all flat but the bikes look kinda old, so if you are not in good shape, might be a bit of a hard ride. Port Lucaya is the main shopping/restaurant area and you should check it out at least once. In Port Lucaya there are a few restaurants that range in price from cheapest – Zorbas (Greek) to expensive – East (oriental). Agave is the newest trendiest place. Also Le Med is good. Corner Bistro is good – has an early bird menu that is affordable. And a few in between. There’s some good bars in the square, where the entertainment happens. My favourite is Rum Runners where the beer prices are the best. Try to go on a Friday or Sat night and there’s a show in the square. When I stayed at Viva, the bartenders in the main lobby area (where you will get your free drinks!) were very happy to tell you about places to go.There is a tour desk at the hotel too. Suggested tours are horseback riding, Kayak Nature tours (excellent!), Paradise Cove (snorkelling). Or you could go scuba diving at Unexso or a Dolphin Encounter (also Unexso). Don’t know how long you are staying, but if just for a short time, your resort will entertain you! It is set on a gorgeous beach with miles of white sand and if you are looking at just kicking back with your new spouse, you have found the right place. If you do any tours or head into Port Lucaya to the restaurants, shops or bars, mention me – Leigh from Bahama Buy and Sell newspaper. I know lots of people! have a great time. Grand Bahama is not the most wildly exciting place, but for a relaxing vacation (and that great beach!) you have picked the right place.

| Opmerking: Wij hebben woensdag jl. een zeer prettige ochtend /middag.
Prima sauna complex, netjes, schoon. We hadden geluk die dag ging de nieuwe kaart in.
Heerlijke spinazie kaasrol en duivelse champignons gegeten. Prachtige kaart. Voor ieder wat wils.
Wij komen zeker gauw terug.

| Opmerking: well i live in freeport. and i do see lots of tiuorst around, but now its getting kinda slow. basically the hotel is right on the beach also if you walk across the street there will be port lucaya where all the tiuorst go to party. they party scene is hoppin during saturdays but sometimes on friday's. the alcohol isn't expensive , an average drink at a bar is $5. bottles of liquor range from $20-$100 s of dollars. Im pretty sure the hotels will confiscate liquor from your room. also your not aloud to drink around the pool area. also there are many bars that only allow credit cards or they charge everything to ur room, theres also ruby swiss which is kind of fancy but there food is great, and there is east a new sushi restaurant in port lucaya. Some good restaurants are Zorba's which sell greek and bahamian food, And restaurants over by unexo are really good. Also i don't really think u should go by the marketplace. i mean yea there are some nice things but nothing worth buying, and many of the mark owners are so desperate to make money, that they come of very strong and offensive when trying to get you to buy something |

| Opmerking: Het was altijd een niet al te grote maar rustige en schone sauna. Sinds ze aan de veilingen mee doen komt er totaal ander publiek is het er heel druk en veel minder schoon. Het is niet meer stil in de sauna's en je hoort mensen opscheppen hoe goedkoop hun arrangementje was. |

| Opmerking: Aantal opmerkingen. In en uitchecken duurt erg lang omdat men continue ook de telefoon opneemt. Zeer ontevreden over het restaurant. Moesten meer dan een uur wachten op onze gerechten. Vis was deels nog rauw. Klachten werden ook slecht opgelost. We zijn al jaren regelmatige klanten . Fouten kan men maken maar een klacht sympathiek oplossen hoort daarbij en dit is niet gebeurt. (een telefoontje nadien had toch het minste geweest). Lucaya heeft hiermee weer twee vaste klanten verloren wij rijden wel wat verder naar Son. |

| Opmerking: Hele mooie compacte sauna. Vanwege de ligging in het centrum (tegenover het station) helaas geen buitenbaden. Wel een keurig verzorgd complex met zoutbaden, kruidenbaden, 3 verschillende sauna's, een haman en niet te vergeten een zeer behoorlijk restaurant tegen normale prijzen |
